Matthew Wood (Founding Director) // RIBA
Matthew’s career began at eight, when he won a RIBA competition to design a house for newborn Prince William (sadly the palace – complete with helicopter-landing pad – was never realised). A decade later, Matthew began his architecture career studying at Edinburgh College of Art, London Metropolitan University and the Architectural Association.
While studying, he worked with Matthew Lloyd Architects, moving to Thompson Baroni before graduating, and a stint with Lake Estates before setting up MWArchitects in 2008. He takes great pride in nurturing new members of the team into great designers and project managers. Matthew also enjoys tutoring and critic / judging work for various institutions.
